The Malie Jewelry Shop/ Art Studio is located in the little town of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, where the most beautiful beaches meet lush green tropical jungle. You find me at "Plaza las Palmas" in the heart of Santa Teresa.
All Malie Jewelry pieces are handcrafted in my studio with lots of love and passion. I use (mostely recycled) sterling silver and semi-precious and precious gemstones, sometimes also 14k gold and brass. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind, made for you to have your personal and life-long little treasure. All materials are chosen carefully, packaging is made of 100% natural cotton and recycled paper.

About
My name is Marie. I started making jewelry while traveling in Mexico, taking silver smithing classes with a local silversmith in the town of San Miguel de Allende. Having a graphic design background I quickly found a new passion in working with metal and gemstones, being able to get away from the computer and joining designing/drawing with crafting processes and skills.
My designs are influenced and inspired by powerful geometrical shapes, ancient patterns and symbols, shapes found in nature, and by experiences I made traveling all over the world, having seen diverse cultures and places. I would consider my style as modern bohemian / elegant beach style.
The jewelry I create is sustainable, crafted slowly and mindfully, most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind and custom-made.
In 2018 I moved to Costa Rica because of love and opened my Studio in Santa Teresa by end of the year.
